Bloom’s Taxonomy was utilized for learning objectives that build with higher grades and age ranges. Guiding questions, guiding verses, read alouds, Common Core State Standards for ELA, Illinois Social Science standards, Next Generation Science standards, and Illinois SEL and Early Learning standards are all included or embedded throughout the curriculum. There are a total of 10 units per grade. The units focus on topics such as; economics, community, climate, disabilities, race/ethnicity, language, family, care & consent, activism, and religion. There are vocabulary words aligned to each unit and a script on how to teach the vocabulary words and introduce the topics in a developmentally appropriate way.
